Dota is a game which calls many but chooses few. There are 100+ heroes in dots. When you start off, it is really hard to choose a hero at random. Picking heroes depend on several factors like game mode, number of players, heroes in the other team, what role you want to play etc. So depending on these factors, an experienced player chooses his hero. The easiest heroes in dota are the most overpowered heroes. Some people may think all heroes are equally strong. It is true, but some of them are easy to use, which is why they have an advantage over the others and are called "OP". Having a couple of OP heroes in the other team can be a little pissing off.
