Info GOOGLE APPS GOES CORPORATE WITH POSTINI

The latest move of Google in the Microsoft dominated corporate world is their purchasing Postini back on July 19th. Postini, a reknowned e-mail service is famous for their over 35,000 business e-mail clients and also for their over 10 million users around the world.

Google Apps is newly powered with storage and compliance services as well as security from Postini for business e-mail. Google's reaction on this event is, “With Postini, we saw the potential to deliver a more complete hosted solution for businesses of all sized”, according to Dave Girouard, the vice president and GM of Google Enterprise

The Google Apps was equiped with Docs, Calendar, GTalk, GMail, before. Now with all the previous Apps, Postini and Google Apps Premier Edition makes it more enriched in business sense.

According to Google, they are not done yet, “We want our valued resellers to know that we will continue to honor our existing agreements with you and respect your existing customer relationships. We want to encourage you to continue selling Postini solutions per our existing agreements. In addition, we plan to open the door for you to offer new Google products to your customers and prospects.”

Jo Vaccone, president of a huge Postini reseller Excel Micro thinks it's superb to be withGoogle by stating it is, “exciting for us that we can sell Postini with these Google services.”
